Java security question keeps popping up

Post by mafutrct »

For every problem on the site, I get asked if I want to run the applet. I click yes, and check "every time", but the question will be shown again. The URI notably lists the problem ID in the path, which appears to be caused by improper programming (of this site).

I'm using Chrome stable on Win 7.

I think you mean this for goproblems and not josekipedia. For goproblems, just switch to Javascript mode. Java is kind of dying in the browser.

Thanks for your answer. Indeed this is the wrong place, sorry, feel free to move it.

Could you explain about the reason for this new behavior? As far as I can tell, it could be fixed by moving the java plugin to a static path that does not change with the problem ID?

How do I turn on JavaScript mode? Could you make this the default for all users?
