Problem deactivated. Would like to understand why

Post by TheBigH »

I recently submitted problem #16395, which was a "worst possible move" scenario (i.e. black has a dead group, and you're to find a blunder by white that can resurrect it). It got deleted for being "invalid", but I don't understand why. The problem had a well defined solution and a clear description, and all the variations were included. Can someone explain to me what was wrong with it? I'd like to avoid this happening again. Thanks.

problems like this are weird and really hard to make work. the way you have to keep playing invalid moves for white is odd. like B1 for the third move is no more valid than E4, for example. i recommend sticking to standard problem design, at least until you've made lots and lots of problems and have a good handle on it.
