I know it's not a game which computers are very good at, but does anyone know of a decent Go! tutorial program?

i'm not sure i understand - a tutorial for basics, or a program to play against? (either way, i guess, checking out http://kgs.kiseido.com can't hurt ..)

I'm not aware of any Tutorial Go programs.
I'm found Dariush to be helpful for learning though because of it's takeback feature. The 13X13 Dariush demo is free. The new game button allows you to chose from 9 levels of play (1 is weakest). You can use takeback under the menu repeatedly any time before the game ends. After the game ends you can't. This can be helpful for looking for stronger moves or to try a different variation.
