sun jre1.6.0 works on linux

Post by bass »

When I upgraded my java plugin to 1.6.0_01-b06 (that is, java version 6, update 1), I noticed thet some letters "T" appeared in the solution tree. When I clicked on them, nothing happened, though.

Oh, but the scrollbar thingy next to the "add comment" -field got slightly shorter! There were comments hidden below there!

So not seeing any comments may be caused by either
* your java version being too old, or
* not-so-robust user interface design. ;-)

Cheers,

To read comments you need to click on a point in the move tree that has a box indicating there are comments. For many problems there are comments for the start position.

I have upgraded java on my home machine and I can now see comments (although I needed to change the screen resolution as well).
Shame my work machine is so locked down that I can't upgrade Java... :-(

well i reformatted my computer, which subsequently involved installing the most up to date firefox and java, and everything works now. can't definitively say that it was a result of either of those being outdated though. i would not recommend this solution anyway :p
