Adding problems by new users.

Post by enigm4 »

I think that maybe would be a good idea for quality of goproblems to allow adding new problems only by users who solved specific % of existing problems. This could prevent from adding nonsense 'problems' by total newbies, prevent a bit from adding typical duplicates, and new users would be familliar with good form of problems before they start adding their own.

i think it's a bad idea because the site'd lose quite a few potential users... lots off ppl have gone through tons of problesm on the site before even considering to register a user - forcing them to achieve some kind of quota before they can give back?

(also does everybody here log in before solving problems? non "pro" users, unless it's for adding or commenting on probs have no reason to - their attempts will be reset anyway... ^^*)

i think that's not a terrible idea, actually. requiring a minimum of say 50 solved problems before adding could be good.

but there is the problem of attempts getting reset...
