willing to modify problems

Postby inextremis on Fri Mar 30, 2007 1:51 pm

I would like to be a moderator for this site. This is one of the best Go resources on the internet, and I would like to help out. I am 2 dan AGA, I am fairly active, and I have gone through thousands of the problems. I have already offered many corrections in the comments. I could help out by adding important corrections from the comments, and I could also provide a swift response to new problems (I check them out when they come up on the RSS feed), correcting or removing them to the sandbox when needed. Thanks for providing this resource!

after a little reflection, i realized that there can be another type of editor: someone who doesn't change the SGF, but just helps manage the problems as a whole. in other words, this person can check for duplicates, remove problems that are clearly invalid, change problem genres and sub-genres, add problems to specially created groups, and so forth.

this person doesn't need to be a high skill level or have SGF knowledge, just a willingness to help out.

cheers,
adum

I volunteer to do that.

Can't promise to devote a lot of time, but would be happy to help.

I would be happy to help; I often find problems that are miscategorized
(not many people understand the Giant group, for example), and all I can
do right now is leave a comment saying "this problem shouldn't be in the
X group."

And I've contributed a problem or two ;)
